Life Lessons From Running
Show Notes

You don’t have to be a runner to learn some valuable life lessons from running. This week Clint and Dr. Parker talk about the lessons learned from running and discuss how to apply them to your life.

The five life lessons learned from running are:

  1. Start slow: If you try to go too far too fast, you will burn out. So instead, learn to pace yourself and make incremental improvements.
  2. Don’s stop on hills: Embrace the suck. Complete the task you set out to without stopping when you encounter resistance.
  3. Metrics are great, but they don’t tell the whole story: Chase and celebrate incremental improvements but give yourself grace for the season of life you’re in.
  4. Run your own race: Control the things you can control
  5. It can be fun if you let it be: Be present; you don’t have to go through life being miserable.
